Overview

SpoilIt is a mobile app that provides movie and TV show recaps. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

How the App Works

SpoilIt works primarily offline. All movie and show content is stored locally on your device. The app only connects to the internet to:

• Download content for movies you haven't viewed before
• Stream narration audio on demand
• Check for new content on pull to refresh
• Submit anonymous search queries for movies we don't have yet
• Verify subscription status

Data Stored on Your Device Only

• App preferences, movie content, search history, daily spoiler history
• This data never leaves your device. We cannot access it.
• You can delete it anytime through the app settings.

Data Sent to Our Servers

• Missing content requests: if you search for a movie we don't have, we store the search query text anonymously to decide what to add next.
• No identity, device info, or personal data is attached.
• That is the only data we send to our servers.

Data We Do Not Collect

• No name, email, or phone number
• No account or login required
• No location data
• No device identifiers for tracking
• No contacts, photos, or personal files
• No cookies, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking
• No data sold, shared, or transferred to third parties
• No advertisements

Subscriptions and Payments

Payment is processed entirely by Apple or Google. We never receive or store your payment details.

Push Notifications

Daily Spoiler notifications are generated entirely on your device. No data is sent to any server.

Leaderboard

If you play the Daily Quiz, a randomly generated display name and your quiz scores are stored on our server for the global leaderboard. No personal information is collected. Display names are randomly generated and cannot contain personal information.

Children's Privacy

SpoilIt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to delete or export. All app data is local and can be cleared in settings.

Changes

We may update this policy. The updated date will be shown at the top.
